The library of the newly renovated Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. The library is accessible to the public and has an extensive collection of old and new art books. The renovated museum is truly worth a few visits and so is the library. June 2014.

Christmas in Indonesia. Northern Sulawesi is predominantly Christian, has many churches and Christmas is important. In the background is Mount Klabat, to the East of the capital Manado, which is famous as a dive center. November 2006.

Ancient mosaic in an old monastery on the Greek Island of Chios, all the way in the East of the country, just off the Turkish coast. It is always fascinating how they could bring people to life with tiny bits of glass or ceramic.
