This statue stands in the garden of Ban Sufa resort and restaurant near Vientiane, Laos. See http://bansufagarden.com/. I like the serenity of the face; and the fact that it is standing in the shade of a number of beautiful trees.

A small shop in Luang Prabang Province, Laos. Photo taken in 2010. It is remarkable how quickly Laos is becoming a consumer society. A similar shop today will have many, many more goods for sale, bith in range and in quantity.

Back in time. 1980 in Tunisia, on a "camping trip". We had put up the tents for the night at this beautiful location and someone started to take a sunset walk.
